About the Role

Atlin is seeking expressions of interest from experienced Technical Writers / Content Designers to support a high-profile Government technology program. Working within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, you will be responsible for researching, developing and publishing high-quality technical content that supports organisational objectives while delivering an exceptional user experience. You'll work closely with technical specialists, subject matter experts and key stakeholders to create clear, accurate and engaging content across a range of digital and traditional communication channels.

Security Requirements

Applicants must:

  • be an Australian Citizen;
  • currently hold, or be eligible to obtain, a Negative Vetting Level 2 (NV2) Security Clearance;
  • be willing to undertake organisational suitability assessments where required;
  • be eligible to work in secure Government environments.

Responsibilities

  • research, write and edit high-quality technical and business content for a variety of audiences;
  • develop and maintain technical publications, user guidance, digital content and knowledge resources;
  • collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders throughout the content development lifecycle;
  • ensure content is accurate, consistent, accessible and aligned with organisational standards and messaging;
  • support the review, approval and publication of content across multiple platforms;
  • develop user-focused content that enhances engagement and improves the overall user experience;
  • contribute to content governance, quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives;
  • support communication campaigns, digital learning resources and other knowledge-sharing activities;
  • manage competing priorities while delivering high-quality outcomes within agreed timeframes.

Required Skills

  • demonstrated experience as a Technical Writer, Content Designer or Technical Author within complex ICT or Government environments;
  • exceptional written communication, editing and proofreading skills;
  • strong research and analytical skills with the ability to simplify complex technical information;
  • experience developing content for digital platforms, technical publications and knowledge management systems;
  • demonstrated ability to engage and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders;
  • understanding of content governance, accessibility and usability principles;
  • experience working with content management systems and digital publishing tools;
  • knowledge of user-centred design and user experience principles;
  • strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities;
  • experience working within highly regulated environments.

Preferred Skills

  • experience developing eLearning or interactive digital content;
  • experience producing web content, technical publications or communication materials;
  • familiarity with accessibility standards and digital content best practice;
  • experience working within Agile delivery environments;
  • knowledge of content measurement and analytics;
  • experience supporting large-scale digital transformation or technology programs.
