About The Role
Oura is seeking an experienced, San Francisco-based Senior Content Designer to work at the intersection of in-app wellbeing, health guidance, physiology, behavior science, and AI. This role involves designing human, personal, and actionable in-app guidance while evolving how AI contributes to the user experience through prompt design and output refinement. You will collaborate with product design, management, science, engineering, and localization teams to create consistent guidance for iOS and Android apps. This is a hybrid role requiring regular office presence in San Francisco with the option for remote work days.
Key Responsibilities
- Create thoughtful, creative, and concise English in-app guidance to help members understand health data.
- Integrate AI into the writing process purposefully and creatively.
- Lead content design processes from feature discovery to in-app copy implementation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure clarity and consistency across touchpoints.
- Advocate for Oura's health philosophy and maintain the brand's signature tone of voice in human and AI-generated content.
Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years of proven hands-on content design or UX writing experience (preferably in health/wellness).
- Skill: Strong understanding of tone, clarity, and emotional nuance in digital products.
- AI Proficiency: Demonstrated experience using AI or LLMs as creative tools for prompting, prototyping, or scaling.
- Management: Project management skills with the ability to lead work streams and manage stakeholders.
- Work Style: Curiosity, openness to learning, and ability to collaborate in remote environments.
- Schedule: Ideal for early morning types due to time zone considerations with global teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in health, behavioral science, or related domains.
- Experience writing for multilingual or global audiences.
- Familiarity with UX research methods or user testing of content.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range (Region 1/San Francisco): $143,650 - $169,000.
