We're looking for a sharp, creative Content Strategist to own and drive the digital content presence for Emkay Global. We are looking for someone who thinks in formats, moves fast on trends, and knows how to build audiences. An interest in financial markets is essential, but your background could be in media, journalism, brand, digital content, or creative industries. What matters most is that you can translate complex ideas into content people actually want to consume.

You'll sit at the intersection of finance, storytelling, and platform strategy, working closely with research analysts, wealth managers, investment bankers, and senior leadership to shape how Emkay shows up across the internet.

What You Will Do

  • Content strategy and editorial planning

- Develop and own a clear content strategy with well-defined content pillars aligned to Emkay's brand positioning, business priorities, and audience segments.

- Build and maintain an editorial calendar that balances timely market moments with evergreen content and long-term brand building.

- Continuously evolve the content mix, experimenting with new formats, content buckets, and storytelling approaches. We want creative thinking and encourage things that have not been done before.

  • Social media and platform strategy

- Own the strategy and day-to-day execution across LinkedIn, X, YouTube, Instagram, and other relevant platforms.

- Stay plugged into platform trends, algorithm shifts, and emerging content formats to translate that knowledge into an edge.

- Use platform analytics and audience data to track performance, identify what's resonating, and make evidence-based decisions on content direction.

- Build content that earns organic reach.

- Identify trending conversations, news hooks, and cultural moments that Emkay can credibly engage with in real time.

  • Financial & market-led content

- Work with internal experts to develop high-quality content across equities, wealth management, PMS and AIF products, IPOs, capital markets, and macroeconomic themes.

- Translate research, market commentary, and investment insight into content that is clear, compelling, and accessible to a broad range of audiences — from seasoned investors to the financially curious.

- Develop investor education content and thought leadership that builds long-term brand authority rather than chasing short-term visibility.

- Come out with new ways to interpret seemingly simple financial content.

  • Video, newsletters, podcasts & emerging formats

- Conceptualise and produce content across short-form video and Reels, long-form YouTube, newsletters, podcasts and audio, and data visualisations and infographics.

- Write scripts, talking points, and content structures for senior spokespeople and on-camera talent.

- Coordinate shoots and productions with internal stakeholders, agencies, and production partners.

- Constantly explore new formats and content buckets — if there's a better way to tell a story, we want to hear it.

  • Stakeholder collaboration

- Build strong working relationships with research analysts, investment bankers, wealth and investment teams, senior leadership, and compliance and marketing.

- Extract insight from domain experts and turn it into compelling external communication — you're the bridge between deep expertise and broad audiences.

- Be proactive, organised, and easy to work with. Stakeholder trust is a core part of this role.

  • AI & tools fluency

- Actively use AI tools to accelerate content production, ideation, research, and distribution

- Stay current on the evolving AI content landscape and bring new capabilities into the team's workflow where relevant.

Who You Are

  • 3–5 years in content strategy, digital media, brand content, financial journalism, or a related creative field.
  • A demonstrable track record of building content that performs, whether that's audience growth, engagement, or brand impact.
  • Prior experience in or strong knowledge of financial services is a plus, but not a prerequisite. An interest in markets, investing, and financial ideas is crucial.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, their algorithms, and what makes content work on each.
  • Proficiency with analytics tools (native platform analytics, Google Analytics, or similar) and the ability to turn data into clear content decisions.
  • Excellent writing skills across formats: from punchy social copy to video scripts.
  • Creative thinker who generates original ideas and isn't afraid to challenge conventional approaches to financial content.
  • Organised with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where market events can shift priorities quickly.
  • AI-savvy — you use these tools daily and know how to get the most out of them.
