Content Design Manager
Grade B - £39,784 (National Framework) or £45,456 (London Framework – if you are London office-based or home-based and live within the boundary of the M25) – There is also an additional homeworking allowance of £581 per annum for those working from home.
Contracted Hours: Full-time 37 hours per week. We would consider Part-time – minimum 30 hours per week. Job share will be considered. Talk to us about compressed hours.
Contract Type: Permanent opportunity.
Location: Home-based, or Office-based, flexible location. There will be some travel expected, particularly to our London office as that is where much of the team are based.

About The Role...
This role will be pivotal in managing the design and delivery of content for our services.
As the Content Design Manager, you will lead a team responsible for publishing simple, clear, concise and accessible information for all our users.
You will ensure the content for our services is based on user needs and published in the right place and in the most appropriate format.
You will oversee the work of five senior content designers and work on developing a new content strategy and the tools and guidance needed to support it.
As well as being an effective leader and offering support to your team, you will also work with colleagues across the organisation. You will build and maintain effective relationships while championing our content standards.
Essential Skills Required...
We are looking for someone who has significant knowledge and experience of working in a content design role and preferably also of leading teams or projects.
You will have a clear understanding of how to write clearly for a range of audiences and to design content around the way people use it. You will be passionate about making information clearer, tasks easier and processes more effective.
A clear understanding of content design principles, methodologies and best practices is essential. We’re also looking for significant knowledge of – and experience in – digital and non-digital engagement.
Experience of working to GDS or NHS design standards and in Agile teams is an advantage.
