Technical Writer

We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer to support the documentation and delivery of ICT solutions within a complex enterprise environment. This role will play a key part in ensuring that technical artefacts are accurate, current, and aligned with evolving solution designs across the project lifecycle. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to large scale digital initiatives, working across multiple workstreams including solution design, technical documentation, operational readiness, and transition to support teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and update technical documentation to align with approved solution and design changes
• Develop and manage documentation supporting delivery, operational readiness and service transition
• Produce knowledge base articles, runbooks, support procedures and troubleshooting guides
• Maintain documentation repositories and ensure content is structured, accessible and up to date
• Collaborate with technical teams to capture architecture updates, implementation details and key decisions
• Ensure documentation standards, templates and governance practices are consistently applied
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise documentation
• Support transition activities by ensuring documentation is complete for handover to support teams
• Identify and address documentation gaps across the lifecycle
• Coordinate documentation reviews, approvals and version control processes

About You

You will bring strong experience as a Technical Writer working across complex ICT environments, with the ability to manage end-to-end documentation processes and engage effectively with technical and business stakeholders.

Essential Experience

• Proven experience as a Technical Writer in ICT or technology delivery environments
• Experience producing technical design, architecture and operational documentation
• Experience maintaining System Architecture Documents (SADs) or similar artefacts
• Ability to interpret and translate complex technical information into user-friendly content
• Experience developing support documentation, knowledge base articles and operational procedures
• Familiarity with documentation management tools such as Confluence
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience managing documentation lifecycle processes including reviews, approvals and version control

Highly Regarded

• Experience working in large or complex enterprise environments
• Experience supporting transition from project delivery into operational support
• Understanding of system integration, cloud platforms and application support models
• Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments
