Content Strategist

We are hiring a Content Strategist to lead US healthcare client accounts end-to-end. This is not a blog-writing role. You will own the strategy, the editorial calendar, the content production process, and the working relationship with senior US physicians.

OrangeCarrot is a full-funnel growth agency. We run SEO, paid media, lifecycle marketing, and analytics for a portfolio of US clients across multiple verticals. Healthcare is one of our practice areas, and it is the practice area this role belongs to. We work with clinical leaders and operators who expect work that is accurate, considered, and accountable. The standard is high across the agency, and it is highest in healthcare where every page sits in a YMYL (Your Money Your Life) category.

About the role

You will lead content for our healthcare accounts. The role starts healthcare-primary and may expand into other YMYL accounts (legal, finance) as the agency adds them. You will work closely with our paid media, SEO, and analytics leads on each account, but content is your seat.

What you will own

• End-to-end content production for assigned healthcare clients
• Working sessions with client physicians to gather clinical input
• Translating those sessions into publish-ready pages and articles
• Pre-session briefs, topic planning, and physician prep
• Clinical claim verification and routing through physician sign-off
• Editorial calendars and topical maps across accounts
• Final quality control before publish

You are a fit if you have

• 4+ years writing or editing for a US audience, ideally in healthcare, legal, finance, or another YMYL category
• Demonstrated ability to write in someone else's voice (ghostwriting, executive content, founder-led content)
• Comfort working with senior experts and following up on technical detail without being intimidated
• Working knowledge of SEO fundamentals (topical authority, search intent, on-page structure). You do not need to be a technical SEO, but you should understand why a pillar page exists.
• Strong written English. We will test this in the screening round.
• Willingness to work hours that overlap with US Eastern Time for live working sessions (typically 2 to 3 per month per client)

You are not a fit if

• You want to write listicles and product reviews
• You think medical content can be written from a Google search
• You expect AI to do the drafting and you do the editing

• Start date: as soon as we find the right person
• Nigh shift
