Technical Writer

We're seeking a skilled Technical Writer with exceptional communication skills! In this role, you'll collaborate with a centrally located team and work with cutting-edge technologies on an initial 12-month contract. Strong team management skills are a plus! Hours: Full Time – 12 month contract

Role Description: As a Technical Writer, you will play a key role in planning, designing and maintaining technical documentation and assist with workflow planning. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance frameworks, tools, scheduling work items and integrating new features.

Essentials

• Strong writing and communication skills, with an understanding of systems, frameworks, and processes.
• Proficiency in Markdown for creating and maintaining documentation.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and practices.
• Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong teaching or team-leading skills in supporting upskilling and new initiatives.

Desired Experience

• Experience in technical writing and documentation management
• Ability to decipher development work and estimate project requirements
• Understand UI/UX principles for technical applications
• Basic programming knowledge (e.g., HTML5, JavaScript)
• Exposure to industrial applications or relevant domain knowledge in resources, oil & gas, or utilities sectors.

This role involves problem-solving, and strong attention to detail to ensure high quality development and documentation. You will need adaptability and flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment and manage multiple priorities.
