At PayPal, Content Designers work side by side with UX Designers, Product Owners, and UX Researchers to create customer experiences that empower people and businesses financially around the world. You're the ideal candidate if you're a seasoned writer who is also a design thinker and customer champion. You can write just about anything, but you thrive in using words to solve problems and simplifying technical jargon into conversational language. You're a holistic and strategic thinker. Responsibilities
- Plan and write content for web, mweb, and mobile experiences (across all touch points including navigation and UI copy, emails, in-app notifications, chatbots, and help).
- Transform global product requirements into a content strategy for meeting business goals and solving real customer problems.
- Present your work and articulate your approach to teammates, product owners, and leadership.
- Partner with Design on page layout, interactions, visual tone, and accessibility standards.
- Coordinate content with Brand, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure we create a consistent end-to-end experience.
- Partner with Legal and Risk to deliver content that complies with regulations.
- Use data and research to evaluate your content’s impact, and push for improvements that shows real results.
- 8+ years of experience writing product design content for user experiences.
- Fluency in written English with an eye for details.
- Confident, highly creative writing and critical-thinking skills.
- Experience working with content standards, such as style and voice and tone guidelines.
- At ease contributing to multiple projects, setting stakeholder expectations, working individually and collaborating across teams.
- Strong communication skills are a plus.
- Experience working with Figma, Jira, and Asana preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Design, Information Science or related fields is appreciated, but not required.
