Position Title: UX Content Designer
Location: Sydney CBD (Hybrid – 2-3 Days Onsite)
Contract Type: Initial 3-Month Daily Rate Contract, High likelihood of extension.
Rate: Up to $800 + Super daily, based on experience.
Role Purpose and Environment
An exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced UX Content Designer to join a high-performing digital team on an initial 3-month contract. This role is central to shaping the content strategy and execution across digital platforms, with a primary focus on a self-service mobile application. You will also contribute to web and eCommerce experiences, ensuring content is purposeful, user-focused, and aligned with the organisation’s digital tone of voice.
This is a hybrid role based in Sydney CBD, with an expectation of 2-3 days per week onsite. Although initially a 3-month contract it is highly likely to extend beyond due to program scope and volume of work.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver UX content for digital platforms, including mobile apps, websites, and eCommerce journeys.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and project teams to understand business needs and translate them into effective content solutions.
- Contribute to digital transformation initiatives, balancing user needs with business objectives.
- Manage multiple priorities and switch between projects while maintaining high-quality output.
- Take ownership of content tasks, working independently to meet deadlines and secure approvals.
- Partner with UX and visual designers to create content that enhances usability and supports customer goals.
- Conduct content reviews with developers to ensure technical feasibility and implementation accuracy.
- Present content strategies and recommendations to stakeholders with clarity and confidence.
Skills and Experience
- The flexibility and willingness to work within and navigate an ambiguous environment that is subject to change based on program needs.
- Demonstrated experience in UX content design or UX writing, particularly for self-service and eCommerce platforms.
- Strong understanding of user-centred design principles and accessibility standards.
- Proven ability to simplify complex information into clear, user-friendly content.
- Experience working in agile environments and participating in agile ceremonies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
- Experience contributing to large-scale digital transformation projects.
- Familiarity with tools such as Figma, Jira, and Confluence.
