For our client Hitachi Energy we are looking for a Senior R&D Technical Writer.

How You Will Make An Impact
- Create and update product documentation and descriptions without oversight
- Cooperate with Product Managers, Designers, Developers and other Technical Writers
- Talk to development teams and SMEs to clarify feature details and specifications
- Take the lead of documentation projects
- Share your knowledge with other team members
- Inspect features and learn how our software works to become a subject matter expert
- Generate and commit built-in help for Network Management System software
- Create end-user targeted documentation packages and publish them on a company portal.
- Create and modify simple scripts for automatic GUIs views capturing
Your background
- Bachelor's degree or higher in technical writing, English, Communications, Engineering or a related area of study
- Fluent English (both written and spoken)
- At least 6 years in a similar role with some experience of writing for technical audiences
- Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills to prepare easy-to-read text in plain English
- Practical knowledge of using international style guides for writing in English is beneficial
- Experience in working with a docs-as-code workflow and ability to prepare simple code samples is an advantage
- Experience with technical writing tools (e.g. Adobe FrameMaker), content management systems, source control systems (Git), Azure DevOps
