About Race Space: Race Space is on a mission to help mass-participation events (think running, cycling, obstacle racing, etc.) grow. We provide conversion and growth-optimised technology, alongside a specialist marketing service, designed to help organisers build stronger brands and attract more participants.
About the Role: Many mass-participation event organisers deliver life-changing experiences but struggle to reach the audiences their efforts deserve. That’s where you come in. Race Space exists to help these events grow. We do that by combining marketing services and participant management technology that makes it easier for organisers to attract, convert, and retain participants. We're now looking for a Content Strategist to build and lead Race Space’s voice, audience, and community across multiple channels—turning it into a powerful distribution engine that drives participant entries and unlocks new revenue streams.
What You'll Be Doing:
- You’ll take ownership of Race Space’s content and community growth strategy, building a brand that runners trust and engage with when looking for races, running content, or community connection.
- You’ll work closely with Managing Director Bruno Noble and our Accelerator partners to make sure Race Space’s content strategy works together with the events we support—helping grow audiences, build trust, and ultimately sell more tickets.
- This role requires someone who’s ready to embed themselves deeply in the mass-participation space, staying close to what drives real engagement and action.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver Race Space’s content and community growth strategy
- Establish Race Space’s content positioning and tone of voice
- Identify and build priority platforms (social, email, web)
- Create and manage content formats, publishing cadence, and community engagement
- Build and grow a trusted, recognised community of runners and event participants
- Develop a pipeline that converts audience engagement into real event entries
- Lead the strategy for Race Space Accelerator partner content and social channels, ensuring they work seamlessly with Race Space’s
- Identify brand partnership opportunities to monetise Race Space’s community over time
- Collaborate with in-house and freelance teams to deliver high-quality content and campaigns
- Track, report on, and optimise performance against agreed KPIs
- Support content and social strategy across other 21six Group companies when needed
- Assist with pitch responses and business development when relevant
Key KPIs:
- Impressions and reach across priority channels
- Audience engagement (likes, comments, shares, saves)
- Follower and subscriber growth
- Race Space event sign-ups driven by content and community
- (Longer-term) Revenue from brand content partnerships
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience growing online communities and content marketing channels
- Strong understanding of cross-channel campaign planning and execution
- A natural storyteller who creates or commissions content that builds trust and drives action
- Strategic thinker with hands-on execution ability
- Comfortable collaborating with clients, freelancers, and internal teams
- Interest or experience in mass-participation sports or events
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
