With more than 1300 employees worldwide, we are where our customers are, supplying approved products in our customers' countries or markets and providing supply chain and customer services locally.

For our Electrical Safety Solutions (ESS) Business unit, we are looking for an Technical Writer.

Main tasks:

  • Create and update the technical documentation for our products in English.
  • Gather information from all persons from different sites involved with the products: development engineers, product managers, maintenance technicians, etc.
  • Write all texts and make the corresponding illustrations needed:
    • Texts written on Madcap Flare and Adobe FrameMaker.
    • Illustrations with Adobe Illustrator (or equivalent).
    • Image mainly extracted from 3D softwares: Solidworks Composer (or Solidworks).
    • Photos with the use of Adobe Photoshop (or equivalent).
    • Edit these documents in both pdf and HTML5.
    • Create a versioning system (with SmartGit or Flare) of the Madcap Flare projects.

Requirements

  • Technical degree in electrical, mechanical or similar engineering (ideally electro-mechanical).
  • Professional experience with Adobe FrameMaker is required, and Madcap Flare a plus (but a wish to learn Flare is mandatory).
  • Excellent English communication skills, written and spoke + technical vocabulary.
  • Knowledge of the softwares above mentioned.
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS languages would be appreciated and helpful for the introduction of these documents into our new e-learning program.
  • Familiar with web environment a plus.
