Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Technical Writer with a strong background in the Telecom domain to join our growing documentation team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in DITA-based structured authoring, proficiency in Markdown, and a passion for creating clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation for complex technical products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, write, and maintain high-quality technical documentation such as user guides, API references, system architecture docs, and installation/configuration manuals.
• Work closely with SMEs, product managers, developers, and QA teams to gather inputs and understand product functionality.
• Create and manage content using DITA XML and structured authoring tools.
• Author and manage developer-focused content in Markdown for use in web-based documentation portals.
• Ensure documentation aligns with brand tone, clarity standards, and information architecture best practices.
• Contribute to the planning and design of documentation strategies for Telecom software products.
• Review, revise, and update existing documentation to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Support documentation versioning and release cycles using source control tools (e.g., Git).

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 3 – 12 years of experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in the Telecom or Networking domain.
• Proficient in DITA XML, Markdown, and structured authoring principles.
• Strong understanding of Telecom technologies such as LTE, 5G, VoIP, IMS, SDN, NFV, etc.
• Experience with documentation tools such as Oxygen XML Editor, MadCap Flare, FrameMaker, or similar.
• Familiarity with API documentation standards and tools (Swagger/OpenAPI).
• Comfortable using Git, Jira, Confluence, and CMS systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in an Agile environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related technical field, preferred but not mandatory
• Experience working in Telecom Industry is mandatory.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams is an added advantage.
• Certification in DITA or Technical Communication (STC, CTC, etc.) is a plus.
