Content Designer
Location: Remote
Duration: Initial 3 Month Contract
Salary: £450 - £500 (Outside IR35)
We are seeking a skilled Content Designer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and managing user-centred content that meets the needs of our audience. You will play a key role in ensuring that our digital services are engaging, accessible, and effectively communicate the intended message.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, write, and edit content for various digital platforms, ensuring it meets user needs and aligns with project goals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to produce clear, concise, and engaging content that adheres to established guidelines.
- Conduct GDS assessments and ensure compliance with Government Digital Service standards throughout the content creation process.
- Assess and enhance the accessibility of all content, ensuring it meets established accessibility standards.
- Continuously gather and incorporate user feedback to improve content quality and user experience.
- Stay updated on best practises and trends in content design, accessibility, and user experience.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Content Designer, Copywriter, or similar role, preferably within a government or public sector context.
- Strong understanding of GDS standards and content design best practises.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and inclusive design principles.
- Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and facilitate discussions.
- Proficient in using content management systems and digital tools.
